MEET CHEF LAMONT
Hello and welcome, my name is Chef LaMont, Head Chef and Owner of Unks Private Chef & Catering. I began cooking professionally at 18 years old. I worked in various food restaurants in Louisville, Kentucky.
After a few months of working in the fast food industry, I took a job opportunity to work in a local Greek fine dining restaurant. I spent several years working in various parts of the kitchen. Later, I started working in hotels where I gained a vast knowledge of culinary operations on a larger scale. After two years with Hyatt Hotels, my career began to take off. I soon began managing front-of-the-house operations and held positions such as Executive Steward, Director of Banquets, and Director of Food and Beverage.
As a private chef, in my repertoire, I have cooked for numerous private parties and curated intimate events.
I’m so grateful and blessed to have such a love for food and I’m even more thrilled to share a love through food with you all!
